Wearable Flexible Solar Cell Charger
In this paper, a design for a portable-charging Tshirt that utilizes flexible solar cells is proposed. The flexible solar cells are tested in various conditions to determine the best arrangement and design for the shirt. Different filters, circuit configurations, shade levels, angle degrees, and numbers of panels are experimented to collect data about the efficiency of the flexible panels being...
متن کاملWearable Technologies and Its Future Applications
The popularity of wearable technologies have increased day by day. In the near future, wearable technologies are expected to become an indispensable part of our daily life. The aim of this study is twofold. The first one is the classification of wearable technologies based on the specifications and applications as; wearable health technologies, wearable textile technologies, and wearable consum...

Introduction: Wearable electronic devices, which are based on Internet of Things (IoT) and big data computing, are able to continuously collect and process the physiological and environmental data and exchange them with other tools, users, and internet networks. Therefore, despite their potential benefits in health monitoring, they can pose serious risks, especially in breach of privacy. Hence...
متن کاملSensing Occupant Comfort using Wearable Technologies
Thermal comfort of building occupants is a major criterion in evaluating the performance of building systems. It is also a dominant factor in designing and optimizing building’s operation. However, existing thermal comfort models, such as Finger’s model currently adopted by ASHRAE Standard 55, rely on factors that require bulky and expensive equipment to measure. This paper attempts to take a r...
